  Zhang Heng was a Chinese mathematician,astronomer and geographer living AD 100~200 in the Eastern Han Dynasty.He wrote a great deal of literary works,which gained him considerable fame(名声) as a young man.He served several positions in the government,but he later refused to serve in the government and spent the rest of life far away from the capital city,where he spent almost all of his time on scientific studies.
